Mission

The mission of the Milwaukee Community Archaeology Project is to examine the long term social and environmental changes of the greater Milwaukee area through archaeological, historical, and other research methods while involving the public at all stages of the research process to the greatest extent possible.

The past matters and the places where we live are important. The Milwaukee Community Archaeology Project aims to explore the the past in our community in a collaborative manner in order to help foster a greater sense of community, a deeper appreciation of the diversity of peoples and experiences within our community, and to promote a culture of lifelong learning and informed action.
