David Pacifico, PhD: General Director of MCAP. David is an anthropological archaeologist and ethnographer who has taught and published on ancient neighborhoods as well as the public value of archaeology. Much of his fieldwork has taken place in Peru. However, following short experiences with archaeological projects studying New Orleans and Chicago and after teaching for more than a year on urban anthropology in the US and France, David began working toward a long-term goal of running a local community-based archaeological project in his own community. David maintains his own blog at IntoLostTime.com.

Cardinal Stritch University was founded as the College of St. Clare in 1937. The School of Continuing and Online Learning launched in October 2016 and soon thereafter Dr. Pacifico joined the School. The University, the School of Continuing and Online Learning, and the Milwaukee Community Archaeology Project share a commitment to community engagement, outreach, and lifelong learning.

The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, School of Continuing and Online Learning, and the Milwaukee Community Archaeology Project began exploring a partnership in 2017, which has led to preliminary archival and superficial research at the Center's lakeside property in Fox Point (Milwaukee), Wisconsin.
